Project Background
A biotech manufacturer in East‑China produces recombinant biologic drugs. Its production facility includes purified‑water distribution loops, buffer preparation stations and bioprocess pipelines. Purified water is widely used for media preparation, equipment flushing and CIP cleaning cycles. Strict GMP requirements demand reliable inline conductivity measurement for pure‑liquid streams, with sensors capable of surviving repeated CIP (Clean‑in‑Place) and SIP (Sterilization‑in‑Place) cycles.
Before upgrade, the site used older conductivity sensors. These brought several operational pain points:
Non‑hygienic surface finish with crevices, risk of microbial contamination after repeated sterilization.
No integrated Pt1000 temperature sensor; external temperature compensation introduced extra measurement deviation.
Unable to sustain high‑temperature SIP steam cycles; frequent sensor replacement increased running cost.
Lacking FDA and USP Class VI material compliance documents required for audit validation.
The customer required a hygienic 2‑electrode conductivity probe for accurate measurement of pure liquids and ultrapure water, supporting sanitary process connections, with full hygienic certification and compatibility with existing G300 transmitter system.
